In 2009 ALTA assisted AIRC (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro) in preparing a proposal for a FP7 PEOPLE COFUND action. FELCARES (Fellowships on Cancer Research) has been accepted for funding and is expected to start on April 1st, 2010. This programme is a joint co-financing of AIRC and the FP7 that will award thirty 2-year fellowships for Italian researchers going abroad and for foreign researchers coming to Italy to perform high-level projects on cancer research. The first call for the FELCARES fellowships has been published. To apply please follow this link. Deadline: June 1st, 2010.

ALTA new office in L'Aquila
On january 1st ALTA has opened a new office in the center of Italy in order to obtain a better coverage of the country. The choice of basing this office in L'Aquila is not a coincidence. ALTA is conscious that its commitment could contribute to the economical reconstruction of the city ravaged by the earthquake.
